Rođendan moje mame pada u periodu kada lala, zumbula i đurđevka više nema u prodaji. Ona voli poljsko cveće, nenapadne i nepretencioze bukete. Ovo mi uvek zadaje muke, pošto se u tom periodu retko šta drugo osim božura, koje baš i ne voli, nalazi u prodaji, a kupovno cveće ne dolazi u obzir. Tako je nastao ovaj buket na slikama, ne baš cvetan, ali sasvim prirodan. Malu korpu od pruća sam kupila na pijaci za 2 evra, i verujem da se može naći na svakoj pijaci. Od dela rukole koju smo dobili u većoj količini, napravila sam Majin pesto od rukole i spakovala ga u originalnu teglicu od kupovnog pesta, naravno sa prikačenim receptom. Napravila sam i dresing za rukolu i sipala ga u malenu teglicu (teglica je na dnu korpe). Malo sveže rukole, malo čeri paradajza i eto vama buketa. Na sličan način možete napraviti svoju kombinaciju za sebi dragu osobu sa ličnim pečatom.

FOR MY MOM-INSTEAD OF THE FLOWERS
My mom's birthday falls in the period when there are no more tulips at the farmers market, the flower which she loves. She also adores non standard flowers, the flowers that can not be found in your every day flower shops. Those are the ones that grow unattended in nature, that are not cultivated. She doesn't care for the flower shop bouquets, no matter how big or small they are. So, this year I decided to make her my own basket of flowers, without the flowers. I bought this small weaved basket at the farmers market for 2 euros (2.5 dollars) and filled it up with home made rocket pesto, that I poured in the original jar from the store bought pesto and attached a recipe to it on a small card. Placed some fresh rocket in the basket, cherry tomatoes, and some fresh made salad dressing for the rocket salad in a tiny jar (it is at the bottom of the basket). This way you can make your own combination for the person you love.
